Energy-saving case study that improved losses using a cyclone-type steam reforming device.
A large amount of drain was generated, and energy loss became a challenge. Upon investigating the cause, it was found that the steam generated from the regular boiler produced low dryness wet steam, resulting in a significant amount of drain in the piping. Therefore, a cyclone-type steam reforming device was introduced. The dry steam sent to the secondary steam header is less likely to become drain during transport to the factory, allowing it to be supplied to steam-using equipment and machinery in very good condition. In fact, after the introduction, we successfully achieved a cost reduction of 18% (over 10,000,000 yen annually).
